Here's a rewritten version of your surrender information with improved flow and clarity:

Surrendering Your Great Pyrenees

We are currently accepting surrenders in the following states:
Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

How to Start the Surrender Process

  • If you need to surrender your Great Pyrenees, please email us at nepyresq@gmail.com.
  • We will send you a Surrender Informational Form to complete. This form helps us find the right foster home and, ultimately, a forever home for your dog.

Required Documentation

  • Vaccination records and spay/neuter information (if applicable) must be provided.
  • Please email this documentation to nepyresq@gmail.com.

Important Surrender Guidelines

  • We only accept purebred Great Pyrenees—our bylaws prevent us from taking mixed breeds.
  • We cannot accept dogs with a history of biting humans. Full disclosure is legally required. Failing to disclose bite history can result in criminal liability, especially if the dog is placed in a home with children.

What Happens Next?

  1. After receiving your completed form, a volunteer will arrange to meet your dog.
  2. We will then coordinate placement in a foster home.
  3. At the time of surrender, you will be asked to sign a Surrender Contract.

We make a lifetime commitment to every dog surrendered to us. All dogs are microchipped to Northeast Pyrenees Rescue to ensure their safety and traceability.

Confidentiality

All information shared during the surrender process is kept strictly confidential.

Outside Our Coverage Area?
